November 1, the event dedicated to the opening ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum was held at the Heydar Aliyev Center. The opening ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo was broadcast live from Baku.

Global Art was informed by the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in the Republic of Azerbaijan that approximately 500 people attended including high officials, academics, Parliamentarians from the Egyptian Azerbaijani friendship committee, Artists, Ambassadors and diplomats.

During the event, the importance of strengthening cultural and diplomatic relations between the two countries was emphasized. This live broadcast was evaluated as another example of cooperation between Egypt and Azerbaijan in the field of historical and cultural heritage.

It should be noted that the museum contains exhibits from different periods of Egyptian civilization and more than 100,000 artifacts.
