The Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater will host the II “Opera Days” project from May 28 to June 30 in Baku.
“Opera Days” is one of the important projects in terms of promoting national and world opera heritage, commemorating master artists, as well as introducing new performers.
A number of interesting events are planned within the framework of the project.
The grand opening ceremony of the project will be held on May 28 with the opera “Koroglu”.
On June 13, a concert dedicated to master voices will be organized within the framework of the event “Historical Faces of the Theater”. Soloists of the theater will perform at the evening, and the memories of outstanding artists Mursal Badirov (100th anniversary) and Shahlar Guliyev (80th anniversary) will be commemorated.
On June 22, a concert program titled “Heritage from the Ages” will be presented. The theater’s symphony orchestra, soloists, and choir will participate in the concert.
On June 27, Honored Artist Ilham Nazarov will perform in a solo concert titled “Contratenor.”
On June 30, the project will be closed with the premiere of the opera “Othello.”
