On July 5, art enthusiasts, history lovers, and admirers of refined aesthetics will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in one of the most fascinating cultural periods of European history. The Art & Creativity Club invites guests to a special lecture titled “Rococo Style”, dedicated to the art, fashion, philosophy, and lifestyle of the Rococo era.
Far more than an artistic movement, Rococo represented an entire worldview of the European aristocracy of the eighteenth century. It shaped architecture, painting, fashion, etiquette, and everyday life, becoming a symbol of elegance, sophistication, and refined taste.
The lecture will be presented by art historian Sadaqat Zaurgizi, who will guide participants through the historical, political, and cultural context that gave rise to this remarkable style.
Guests will discover the defining characteristics of Rococo architecture and visual arts, explore the political atmosphere of eighteenth-century Europe and its influence on artistic development, and learn about the fashion trends and beauty standards that captivated aristocratic society. The program will also examine the hidden messages conveyed through clothing and accessories, the health consequences of period cosmetics and fashion practices, and the myths surrounding Marie Antoinette, including the famous phrase often attributed to her.
